Socrates-Rejection
The love and rejection of love article dealed with Alcibiades, Socrates, and Agathon. Alcibiades started the scene off barging in on the rest of the party appearing very drunk. He has a crown for Agathon and begins flirting with him. After he realised Socrates was there as well he starts attacking Socrates instead. Socrates trys defending himself but Alcibiades just keeps flipping his words around making Socrates appear as the "bad guy". All of the men are drinking throughout the entire scene and at the end it is revealed that they are infact not drunk. Very interesting and stange reading in my opinion.

I agree that this was a very interesting and strange read. I also agree that Alcibiades tried to turn things around and make Socrates the bad guy. I felt like Socrates was passive about it until Agathon was brought up then in a way I feel like Socrates tried to rub the fact that he could get Agathon in Alcibiades face, while Alcibiades wasn't able to get either of the two men.
