What is justice?
In The Republic, Socrates and his friends tried to define justice. It started as a simple word that they thought could easily be defined. As they went on into thinking about what the definition actually meant, they realized that they all had different opinions on what they thought it was. Socrates listened to all of their theories, but everytime they expressed their opinion he posed another question regarding what they had said. In this reading, Socrates made me realize how annoying the socratic method is. I feel as if I read forever, but never reached an ending because they could only find more questions and no answers. After reading this, I somewhat feel like I do not fully understand the TRUE meaning of justice anymore.

Yeah... That answer doesn't come until book 10. That's one of the problems of having you only read the first book. Good response.
