Rejection: week 3
The article for my group this week was on love and rejection and it was actually very interesting to read. It was very interesting to read about the awkward love triangle among three of the men, men who were scholars of the time, and how they fought for each others attention. Alcibiades originally crashed the party seeking Agathon's attention and lust, but when he found out Socrates was there his whole plan changed. The rest of the evening the men drank and Alcibiades spoke of his desire for Socrates, while Socrates did nothing but continually reject him. The continuous rejection oddly enough did not seem to phase Alicibiades because he kept going after Socrates. This article had some really disturbing parts but in all it was actually good and I enjoyed reading it. My favorite part of this piece was the ending when both Alcibiades and Socrates announced that neither one of them had been drunk through that entire encounter.

I agree that this article was intresting to read, but did get awkward at some parts. I liked the ending the best when Alcibiades and Socrates announced they weren't drunk at all and went on with their day.
