Protagoras
I really like this, it was not had to read or understand at all. After reading this and getting better view on virtues I am still left wondering about them. I love how they use their words to persuade. Protagoras tells us the importance of knowledge and that is impossible to behave badly when you know what is good. In some ways I agree with that and in others i dont. The interesting part what him and Socrates argument and the way they challenged each other.

I like how Socrates is always challenging people too. He's sometimes very funny and witty when it comes to making a point and asking questions. But I think thats what makes him so interesting and wise.
ReplyDeleteI also agree, From what I read Socrates doesnt like to be wrong. This to me is what makes his arguments and questions funny and witty. A lot of the time he will get his opponent to answer their own question by Socrates asking them questions about his questions... if that makes sense ha
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with the point about how interesting it was to watch Protagoras and Socrates argue. It was definitely my favorite part of this reading.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your pointing out the bits you liked and the bits you disagreed with. Good job!
