Love and Rejection
I thought this was really harsh. Socrates' claim that Alcibiades could only give him bronze when asking for gold was very straightforward. Placing his own wisdom above Alcibiades' beauty was brutally honest. Even so, I thought Alcibiades spoke well when he said that that type of conversation is only something one can discuss around others who have experienced the same pain.

There definitely was a huge connection between beauty and relationships. They viewed beauty with such high importance.
