after reading and re-reading this, i was still pretty confused. it talks a lot about predestination and if god created evil, but i guess i was just mostly confused between Calvin and Luther and their different views.
In addition to finding the reading somewhat challenging, I found that the different view points sent my mind reeling. But on the one hand it did challenge me to call my own beliefs into question such as the view of 'why would god create evil, so that it will tempt us.' Not that I'm particularly religious, but I liked that it gave varying view points that caused me to stop and evaluate my own opinions, because both sides often made sense.
I also felt like the reading was confusing at some points. I found it easy to read a paragraph and then reread it before i moved on in the reading.
