I enjoyed reading about Hobbes I found him very interesting.
He knew a lot about psychology and human nature. I don’t think I agree with all
his believes but he was still a very smart man. I understand that morals are
different in different countries but he was very bold about his opinion. I don’t
agree that there should always be a higher power controlling us. I think we as
a society can make decisions ourselves and not just have one person making them
for us. Overall the readings were interesting and I learned a lot.
I agree I liked this reading alot also, I think that Hobbes said some good things about human nature. In Chapter 13 I really agreed with what he said about glory,competition, and trust because in human nature we really do value those three things.

ReplyDeleteYeah, his idea of a sovereign is hard to swallow now, but at the time, there were really no other options. Good post.
