The Bookseller of Kabul

This was one of my favorite readings this semester. It shed light on how women are treated in other cultures and made me think about how they are treated in ours. Definitely glad I gave this book a shot.

    I agree with you this book was very enjoyable. It does make you look at how women are treated today .

    I agree. I was certainly aware of the gender issue in Islam, but didn't imagine it got this bad in some places.

    I agree this was my favorite reading this year! I like how it allowed me to compare the living circumstances in the United States.

    I prefer Animal Farm, but this book was very interesting. Afghanistan is different than the United States in many ways culturally.
