Rubin
When I read this I'm thinking more of now than what it was like when she wrote it so I feel like she's almost over exaggerated. There might have been oppression at first but now our society has equal opportunity. There may be some oppression in relationships but that's not a general thing. I feel like it's a lot different now then what it was.

Our society is a lot different then it used to be, but we still do not live in a completley equal societty. Women do not fight on the front line, men are still seen as head of the house, and there is still some sexism seen within the work place. So while yes women oppression has come a long way, it is not 100% equal and that is what the writer is trying to put across within this article.
